This week only (1 – 8 December 2022), your donations to Hands Up’s Singing for Syrians campaign will be doubled at no extra cost to you!

We’ve secured match funding, which means that any funds raised online up to £25,000 during the week will be matched by our generous pledgers, raising a total of £50,000.

We’re asking you to put Syria on your gift list this Christmas and to help us reach our £50,000 target.

Any money raised will go directly to supporting vital health and education services for vulnerable Syrian communities, providing:

– education and hope to 280 refugee children in Lebanon, and salaries to their 17 teachers

– vital health care to a community of 50,000 in northern Syria as well as salaries for 22 medical staff. The team provide 3,000 consultations a month and are currently responding to the cholera outbreak

– prosthetics to help the vast number of people with limb difference in northern Syria. The aim is to provide dignity, pride and freedom of movement.

“There is still so much support needed in and around Syria – with 90% of the population living in poverty.

All funds raised will go directly to health and education projects that are supporting the livelihoods of Syrian doctors and teachers, as well as vital services for their local communities. Alongside our partners SAMS, SAWA and PAC, over the last year alone we’ve helped over 26,000 Syrians.

We know everyone is feeling the pinch with the cost-of-living crisis. This match funding pledge means even the smallest donation can make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of Syrians.”
